The Verlaines and NZ Music Month - It's not over yet.

Dunedin band The Verlaines are adding to the rich tapestry of NZ Music Month in a variety of ways

The Verlaines launch NZMiC

The Verlaines helped launch the good ship NZMiC (www.nzmic.org) at the University of Otago?s Albany Street Recording Studios earlier this month. The installation of the new SSL C200 128 channel digital desk and the formation of NZMiC (a joint venture bwtween the University and local company Ltd) were celebrated in fine fashion with some real time recording experience for the gathered guests as they were treated to a sneak preview of The Verlaines forthcoming album.

Graeme Downes comments:

?We have been working our socks off. We have a new album on the go, which is progressing very well. Hope to have it finished by mid July. The bulk of the songs were written in January so it is very fresh in every sense of the word.?
